V1.8 improves Markdown preview readability and interaction, making long documents, tables, code, links and local images easier to inspect in place.
Built-in editor
Switch between Standard and Vim input. Japanese IME, search and replace with regular expressions, case-insensitive and selection-only modes, undo/redo and syntax highlighting — and you can edit files over SSH directly. The caret now has a visible fixed width, and Japanese IME candidates appear at the insertion point.
Per-pane system metrics
Press gM to show CPU, memory, disk I/O and network metrics in each pane. Local and SSH values refresh about every two seconds, with GPU utilization shown when supported.
Markdown notes
Start writing instantly with gN, with autosave. Organize, rename, delete and keep history of multiple notes inside the app. Notes also use a visible fixed-width caret.
Finder drag & drop
Exchange files with Finder directly. Items on SSH are streamed on demand, only when they are actually needed.
Bookmarks & fuzzy jump
Recall frequent places with a single key, and incrementally search your visit history to get back to deep folders fast.
Cloud storage
gc detects iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive and OneDrive sync folders. Pick one and it opens right in the pane.
Help that stays readable
The help view now has spacing and scrolling, so key instructions are not clipped.
Safe external changes and conflicts
Fast local volumes reflect external changes automatically. Slow and network volumes keep the stable manual reload path, and conflicts offer Replace, Skip, Keep Both or Cancel.
Images, from fit to detail
Keep the original aspect ratio with Fit (0) or 100% actual-pixel view (1). Use -/+ to zoom and scroll in both directions at 100%.

SSH transfers and remote previews are fully streamed. Progress and transferred size stay visible while everything continues in the background; press Esc to cancel a transfer safely.
